Marque ("Marque", "we", "us") operates the website at getmarque.app (the "Service") — a web app that learns your taste in cars and suggests cars you may like. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Taste data — the cars you swipe on, any cars or preferences you type in, and the recommendations you receive. This is the core of the Service.
• Feedback — when you rate a recommendation (like / dislike), we store that rating to improve the Service.
• Email address — only if you choose to provide one (e.g. to save your results or create an account).
• Technical data — standard server logs and basic, privacy-respecting analytics: approximate location (country level), device and browser type, pages viewed.
• Cookies / local storage — small amounts of data stored in your browser to keep the app working and remember your session.

Why we use it

• To run the core experience — turning your swipes into recommendations.
• To improve recommendation quality over time.
• To understand, at an aggregate level, how the Service is used.
• To contact you only if you gave us your email, and only about the Service.

AI processing

Recommendations are generated with the help of a third-party AI provider. Your taste data (the cars you swiped and any text you entered) is sent to that provider solely to generate your recommendations. We do not send your email or identity for this purpose.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that operate the Service on our behalf — our hosting provider and our AI provider — and only as needed to run it. We may disclose data if required by law.

Retention

We keep taste and feedback data only as long as needed to run and improve the Service. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Contact).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
